Hi Everyone,
Another month has gone by, so quickly. Here is what has been happening at Broken Chains.
- I preached 2 sermons this month at Casa de Luz and several of our homeless population is now going regularly to their New Beginners Bible Study
- I was privileged to be part of a conference call with Michelle Obama concerning the problems and solutions with our country’s homeless vets.
- We have a new school contributing sandwiches this month; Robison Middle School with Miss Robin Roiland. What a blessing it is!!! Also, thanks this month, to Schofield Middle School for their donation of sandwiches.
- A big thank you to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship for coming to our Wednesday night outreach on May 25th. They prepared a fantastic meal of BBQ’d chicken (using Chuck Davison’s award winning BBQ sauce, called Havin An Affair and available at Whole Foods), homemade salads and all the trimmings. Pastor Dan and his wife Melony joined us from Casa de Luz and Pastor Dan favored us with some wonderful singing and guitar playing. Also present was Pastor Ray Reeder from Riding for Jesus. What a great evening of bible study, worship and fellowship!
- Pastor Cody and several of our homeless population attended a 4 day seminar at Cashman Field called Babylon Rising.
- We are getting many moving jobs and the homeless men working these jobs are getting a wonderful reputation as expert movers. Let us know if you have anyone needing help moving!!
The Rescue Mission is in need of babysitters for the children whose parents are attending chapel services. Anyone interested please call us at 265-2603.
We want to thank all of our regular volunteers; they are great!!! Also thanks to those who are partnering with Broken Chains; this is truly a blessing to our ministry! And we want to thank all of our corporate sponsors who donate food, clothing and other items for our homeless population. We could not do what we do, without you all!!!
Please come and join us any Wednesday night at 5:30pm at Myron Levitt Park at Sahara & Eastern.
REQUEST: Broken Chains is growing at a very rapid pace and God is opening doors to all sorts of areas that we want to grow in (housing, counseling, vehicles, jobs, etc.); our problem being that many of the things in the future require money. We are asking that you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner with our ministry; large or small donations are welcome and appreciated. We both tithe 10% of all our personal income, monthly, to Broken Chains. Many things have to be budgeted for and planned for and if we know approximately how much money we have coming in we are better able to plan future projects. We will also be applying for grants in the near future and grantors are very concerned with the financial status and stability of those that they give grants to.
MINISTRY NEEDS: We are in need of the following items; socks (always socks), razors, travel size shampoo & lotion, crackers, grape jelly (in plastic containers), pop-top cans of tuna and pork & beans, single servings of fruit, and small single containers of drinks. If you are able to help with any of these items, just let us know and we will make arrangements to pick them up.
PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray for Casa de Luz as they send a team to Joplin this coming Sunday; to minister to the volunteers and victims of the tornado, and to provide food and shelter where needed.

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
